Winter Pitha Mela hosted by ABA Inc Victoria
Dear Respected Community Members,
Winter Greetings! Every year winter comes with a vivid reminder of our traditional Bangladeshi heritage that boasts assortment of pithas and sweets – which used to be the winter staple foods back in those good old days!
Australia Bangladesh Association, which strives in upholding and nurturing our traditional Bangladeshi cultural heritage and values, is organizing a day-long event Pitha Mela on Saturday 29th July 2017 at Mulgrave Community Centre, 355 Wellington Road, Mulgrave. Details are:
Date: 29th July (Saturday) 2017
Time: 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
Venue : Mulgrave Community Centre, 355 Wellington Road, Mulgrave, VIC 3170 (Melway # 80D1)
The event will consist of:
# Array of stalls including
• finest collection of sweet/savoury pithas and various Bangladeshi cuisines representing rural/urban Bangladesh
• traditional Bangladeshi dresses, garments, boutiques and jewelleries
# Cultural performances including songs, chorus, dances and poetry recitation and activities for adults and children
