OZNSUers Reunion 2017
The 5th re-union of Aussie NSUers Association was held on Saturday 25th March 2017. It is the official representative body of ex NSU students and faculties to represent North South University across Australia. This reunion was particularly notable as it took place on a delightful Captain Cruise boat, on the Sydney Harbour. Friends and family members of NSU alumni enjoyed the breathtaking views of the Sydney Harbour in the presence of their loved ones. The president of the organization Shahidur Rahman Mridu expressed his hope that such events will help strengthening the existing bond and comradery among the alumni across different ages and backgrounds. He also added that planning and execution of such a memorable event would not have been made possible without the constant support of our sponsors who have always appreciated the contribution of Aussie NSUers Association in cultural, social, sporting and community development within the expatriate Bangladeshi community. He also appreciated the Executive Board Members Heera, Nahid, Asad,Shoikot, Shams, Samanta, taj, Kamran, Nash, Tazim, Shaonee, Boni, Rana, Rumman and Nazneen for their relentless dedication and efforts to make the event a success.
In addition to the unparalleled views of the Sydney Harbour, there were plenty of entertainment and activities planned for participants of all ages. Musical performances by Laura, Mitul, Nowroz and Shaown were the main attraction of the event. The other highlight of the event was the continuous performance of the balloon artist, who mesmerised children and adults with her nonstop supply of animals, characters and props made with balloons. Guests also enjoyed the opportunity to get their photo taken at the backdrop of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House and in the photo booth that was specially designed to commemorate unique event.
২৫শে মার্চ অনুষ্ঠিত হলো অজি এনেসিউয়ার্সের ৫ম পুনর্মিলনী। প্রায় দুইশোর অধিক প্রাক্তন ছাত্র ছাত্রী, তাদের পরিবার ও বন্ধুদের নিয়ে ক্যাপ্টেন কুক ক্রুজে আনন্দ ভ্রমণে বের হয়েছিল। প্রতিবছরই অস্ট্রেলিয়া প্রবাসী মূলত সিডনী কেন্দ্রিক নর্থ সাউথ ইউনিভার্সিটি এলামনাই এসোসিয়েশন যারা Aussie NSUers Association বা OzNSUers নামে সুপরিচিত প্রবাসের মাটিতে এই ধরণের পুনর্মিলনী আয়োজন করে থাকে। সংগঠনের প্রেসিডেন্ট শহিদুর রহমান মৃদু জানান- এবারের এই ব্যতিক্রমধর্মী আয়োজনের অন্যতম উদ্দেশ্য ছিল তিনতলা বিশিষ্ট ‘Captain Cook Cruise’ এ সবাই যেন সিডনি হার্বারের সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করার পাশাপাশি নিজেদেরও পারস্পরিক যোগাযোগ, ভ্রাত্বিত্ব বৃদ্ধি করতে পারে। সিনিয়র জুনিয়র সকল শিক্ষার্থীর কয়েক ঘন্টার এই একাত্মতা বিদেশের মাটিতে তাদের বন্ধন ও সহমর্মিতা আরো দৃঢ় করবে এমনটাই আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত করেন তিনি।
নৌভ্রমনের অন্যতম আকর্ষণ ছিল মিতুল, লরা, নওরোজ ও শাওনের মনোমুগ্ধকর ব্যান্ড সংগীত পরিবেশনা। আয়োজকদের মধ্যে মূলত ছিলেন মৃদু, হীরা, নাহিদ, আসাদ, সৈকত, তাজ,কামরান,সামান্তা, ন্যাশ, শামস, তাজিম, শাওনী, বনি, রানা, রুম্মান ও নাজনীন। রাফেল ড্র, সেরা পোশাক প্রতিযোগিতা সকলের মধ্যে যোগ করেছিল বাড়তি আনন্দ।
সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতা থেকে দেশীয় সংস্কৃতি, খেলাধুলা, জনহিতকর কর্মকান্ডে অবদান রাখার জন্য স্থানীয় ব্যবসায়ী ও গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তি বর্গের কাছে OzNSUers প্রতিনিয়ত প্রশংসিত হচ্ছে।
