Invitation to Oxfam's Bangladeshi Speaker Event

On 24 November 2012, Sumi Abedin was working in the Tarzeen garment factory in Bangladesh when she was forced to make a chilling decision. Trapped in the burning factory and faced with the horrific choice between burning alive or jumping to certain death, she chose to jump. This April is the anniversary of the Rana Plaza collapse that killed 1,138 men and women. Come and hear an inspiring talk by Sumi Abedin and by Kalpona Akter (former child worker) about how the Rana Plaza collapse could have been prevented and how you can support a safer future for workers in Bangladesh.
