An evening of light, semi-classical and classical Indian Music – vocal and instrumental (Sarode)

The programme begins with light contemporary, vocal presentations by Sri Avijit Sarkar, the renowned vocalist of Sydney joined by the talented Smt. Srijani Dan.

The second half of the programme is dedicated to a Sarode recital by Sri Anindya Banerjee, a visiting sarode maestro from Kolkata, India. Sri Bannerjee is a senior and favoured disciple of the Late Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and Late Pandit Nikhil Bannerjee. He is a luminary and torchbearer of the Senia-MaiharGharana. This will be an unique opportunity for lovers of classical music.

Funds raised will support the inspiring work undertaken by Mukti (an NGO in Sunderban area of India) and BANSW Building Fund.
