Invitation – Ekushey Mela (International Language Day 2014)

Dear Respected Community Members

Western Region Bengali School (WRBS) is going to host “EKUSHEY 2014” to celebrate the “International Language day 2014” to pass the knowledge and importance of “Ekushey February” to the second generation Bangladeshi Australian citizen. On behalf of school council we would like to invite you to participate in the event. A day-long event has been scheduled for this occasion.

Date: 23rd February (Sunday) 2014

Time: 10:00am to 7:00pm

Venue: Glen Orden Sports Club,

53-57 Kookaburra Avenue,

Werribee, Vic (Mel ways Reference: 206 C4)

(Next to the WRBS School Venue – Wyndham Community Centre)

Event Attractions:

  1. Ekushey Provat Feri (Ekushey Rally)
  2. Laying floral wreath on temporary martyr monument (Shahid Minar)
  3. Drawing Competition for the Kids on the spirit of Intl Language Day
  4. The Final Match of Intl Language Day Cricket (20/20) Tournament 2014 (Match Time 11:00am – 3:00 pm)
  5. Prize giving Ceremony for the Cricket Tournament.

Array of Stalls including (*):

  1. Finest collection of sweets/savoury snacks and various Bangladeshi cuisines.
  2. Traditional Bangladeshi dresses, garments, Boutiques and Jewellery.

Admission: Free

(*) Stalls are limited so it will be booked by first come first serve basis.
