NOBLE Park Community Centre celebrates International Women’s Day

NOBLE Park Community Centre celebrates multicultural women of Greater Dandenong for International Women’s Day.
On Saturday March 26th, Noble Park Community Centre will host a Multicultural Ladies Night to commemorate the Centenary of International Women’s Day. Women from a diverse range of cultures will speak and perform at the event, starting at 7pm. Light refreshments will be served.
Performances on the night will include Timorese Choir, traditional Tamil dancing, an Afghan fashion show, as well as female leaders speaking from the Bangladesh, Afghan and Sudanese communities and Mayor Roz Blades.
All Bangladeshi ladies are cordially invited to this event. Please bring your friends along with you.

2011 marks 100 years since the first International Women’s Day in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. The day honors the work of the suffragette movement in gaining women’s right to vote, celebrates women’s successes and acts as a reminder of how much more work there is to be done to attain true gender equality.
Tickets available at the door, $10 adults and children free.
