Bangladesh's Independence and 5th anniversary of WR Bengali school
Dear respected Bangladeshi community members
Since 2009, Western Region Bengali school have been organizing the celebration of Independence Day of Bangladesh in Melbourne. Due to unavoidable circumstances, it could not be organised around 26 March this year. However, this historical day is not forgotten. Western Region Bengali School in association with Melbourne based socio-cultural groups and individuals, will organise celebration of Independence Day of Bangladesh on 03 July, 2011 at Wyndham Leisure and Events Centre, 80-82 Derrimut Road, HOPPERS CROSSING VIC 3029.
Also this year will mark fifth anniversary of Western Region Bengali school – this continuation is a great achievement. The school community and number of students are growing day by day. So this year’s programme will combine 40th anniversary of declaration of Bangladesh’s Independence and 5th anniversary of Western Region Bengali school. The details of the events are:
Date: 3rd July (Sunday) 2011
Time: 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm
Venue: Wyndham Leisure and Events Centre, Derrimut Road, HOPPERS CROSSING VIC 3029, Melway Ref E 206 D3
The event will consist of cultural festivities, which include:
* Songs
* Dance
* Dramas
* Poetry recitations etc
There will be a food stall managed by a renowned Bangladeshi restaurant.
