Bangladesh High Commission, Canberra | Press Release (12 November 2010)
The Australian International Sourcing Fair (AISF) – the largest sourcing event of the year- is going to be held from 17-19 November 2010 at Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre. Bangladesh is participating in the fair with many other countries. 16 exhibitors from Bangladesh will be showcasing their products in the Show.
Companies from Bangladesh will be showcasing their products like woven and knit readymade garments, sweater, leather products, jute goods, home textile products, fashion bags etc. in the Fair.
It is hoped that Bangladeshi exporters would be able to attract potential sourcing companies of Australian and New Zealand and take advantage of the existing duty free market access for products from LDCs.
Bangladesh High Commission in Canberra in association with the Export Promotion Bureau of Bangladesh is facilitating and coordinating the participation of Bangladeshi companies in the AISF. A Trade Delegation from Bangladesh will also be in Melbourne during this period.
Apart from the three days exhibition (17 – 19 November) there will be a seminar presentation that will highlight the sourcing opportunities in Bangladesh. A large number of potential buyers and sourcing agents as well as general visitors will be visiting the Fair.
