Boishakhi Mela 1421 in Canberra

Bangladesh Australia Association Canberra Inc. (BAAC) is going to organise a Boishakhi Mela followed by musical concert to celebrate the Bengali New Year 1421. The location, date and time are as follows:

Location: Palmerston Primary School, Kosciuszko Avenue, Palmerston ACT 2913.

Date and time: Saturday 12th April 2014 from 2.30 pm to 9 pm.

Talented local artists including children will perform songs, dance and recitation representing our national culture and heritage. Food and commodity stalls will display and sell traditional food items and commodities.

A musical concert with Shuvo (a famous South Asian D-Rockstar singer from Bangladesh who had performed a stage show in Canberra last year and received a high appreciation for his musical show) will also be an attraction for our Boishaki Mela Celebration.

We invite you all to attend this joyful event and express solidarity in celebrating our age old traditional culture and heritage.
