Bengali New Year 1418 in Canberra
Dear All,
To celebrate the Bengali New Year 1418, Bangladesh Australia Association Canberra Inc. (BAAC) has organised a Baishaki Mela. The location, date and time of the mela are as follows:
Location: Canberra Islamic Centre, Clive Steele Road, Monash, ACT
Date and time: 16th April 2011, Saturday from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm.
Talented artists including children will perform songs, dance and recitation representing our national culture and heritage. Food and commodity stalls will display and sell traditional food items and commodities.
This year, the food and commodity stall will be located at the corridor outside the CIC Hall building. No electrical outlet will be available for cooking/warming on the stall. The stall holder may wish to bring their own warming/cooking accessories (gas burner/BBQ etc.).

We invite you all to attend this joyful event and express solidarity in celebrating our age old traditional culture and heritage.
