Indoor Sport’s Program: Badminton Tournament 2010 (Doubles)

Dear community members,

As promised, we are pleased to announce our upcoming Indoor Sport’s program (Badminton tournament) on 9th May (Sunday). Please be advised that this is the final date. We all know that there is a player in you, wants to play badminton. This is indeed a short notice (due to our Boishakhi Mela cultural program), nobody is required long practices, and the only required thing is your participation for fun.

Therefore, we would like to invite you all for one more fun-filled evening, either as a player or spectator for this Badminton Tournament.

Venue: “BELCONNEN COMMUNITY CENTRE” 26 Chandler St, Belconnen ACT 2617
Date: 9th May (Sunday); TIME: SHARP at 5:00pm

Registration fees: $10 (AUD), Cash. Please pay at the venue.

Tournament Plans: 10 teams are expected:
o 8 teams for men (Bhaiyas)
o 2 teams for women (Bhabis)

• Teams are required to register by contacting Sport’s Secretary or President by this Thursday which is 6th May. (SPORT’s SECRETARY: Tapa, 0433972917, PRESEDENT: Dr Moyazur Rahman Maroof, 04304026731)
• Players are requested to bring their own racket and hydrant drinks, water, towel (if necessary), wooden floor suitable jogger or shoe; Association will supply shuttle-corks.
• Players are requested to play friendly match (not too serious but more for fun) as ASSOCIATION (BAAC) will not take any liability for accidents/injuries, meaning play at your own risk.
• Players can bring easy chair that has good rubber grip and can be placed on wooden floor.
• Every match will have three sets. Whoever will win two out of this three, will go for next round. If there are too many teams, there could be single knock-out matches.
• Both, “Champion team” and “Runner’s up team” will get BAAC trophy. All other participants will have hand full of chocolates.
