Australia Day Parade in Adelaide

Dear BASSA Members –

Australian Day is the day of the year when all Australians come together and celebrate what is great about our wonderful country . BASSA is going to join Australian Day Parade on 26 th January 2013 which is organised by Australian Day council of SA , the Adelaide city council and the South Australian Multicultural & ethnic Affairs commission (SAMEAC ) . More than 120 communuity organisations will participate from more than 50 different ethnic backgrounds in this year parade , BASSA is one of them . All BASSA Members are invited to join this parade to show up our community strength and vibrant cultural values , Australia Day Parade will be held on Saturday , 26th January 2013. The parade will start at 5.30 pm from the corner of Franklin street and Victoria Square in the city. Our group will march behind Marshall – 7. So please arrive by 4.30 pm on the western side of Franklin street . The parade organisers will supply water for participants at the start and end of the parade. After the parade finishes at Elder Park near Torrens river, there will be a free concert by famous artists followed by fireworks.

All BASSA Members are most welcome to participate this National event . Please try to wear colorful Bangladeshi National dress ( for boys panjabi or fotwa & girls sharee or salwar kamiz ) as there is a prize for best costumes by the parade participants.
