Protest against atrocities on religious minorities in Bangladesh

Hundreds of protesters took part in a Human Chainat Town Hall, Sydney on Saturday 16 March 2013 with their slogan “Stop Atrocities on Religious Minority in Bangladesh. We Want Peace and Harmony” to lend their support to minorities in Bangladesh. The protesters have expressed deep concerns in the recent attacks and appealed for justice. It is shocking that they appear to be targeted simply for their religion and the Islamic fanatics lead by Jamaat-e-Islami had once again engaged in extermination of the minorities from Bangladesh as it did in 1971 during Liberation War. They are killing the innocents, destroying temples, burning houses and looting properties and making them landless. We, the people from Bangladesh, living in Australia, strictly condemn and protest thisheinous crime and brutal torture against religious minorities in Bangladesh. We appeal to world leaders to save the minorities from the cruelty of Jamaat-e-Islami and others, and ensure their security within Bangladesh.
