Bangladesh High Commission Canberra | Press Release (29 June 2012)
Introduction of Machine Readable Visa (MRV)
This is to inform all concerned that Bangladesh High Commission in Canberra has been issuing Machine Readable Visa (MRV) including No Visa Required (NVR) stamp from the Chancery in Canberra after the official inauguration of the MRP/MRV systems by the Hon’ble Home Minister of Bangladesh Advocate Shahara Khatun MP on 12 June 2012. The average processing time for MRV including NVR would be at least five working days from the date of receipt of the visa application. There might also be a change in the tentative date of delivery as all MRVs will be processed through automated system and there might be delay of getting final clearance to some cases.
All concerned are requested to send their Visa and NVR applications to the High Commission in Canberra well in advance of their departure dates. While applying for Visa and NVR all concerned are also requested to fill-out the Machine Readable Visa application form (DIP Form-4) available in our website at http://www.bhcanberra.com/forms.php.
Regarding the payment of Visa and NVR fees, all concerned are requested to make separate Money order/bank cheque payable to Bangladesh High Commission, Canberra for each of the Visa as well as NVR applications. The fee for MRV including NVR is non-refundable even if the visa application is rejected or withdrawn.
The High Commission would like to thank all concerned for their kind cooperation in this regard.
