Bangladesh High Commission Canberra : Important Notices (05 June 2008)
Notice No. 01
This is to inform that installation of the new PABX system at the High Commission has been completed. The PABX telephone numbers have remained unchanged (02-6290 0511, 6290 0522 & 6290 0533).
The High Commission would like to express its sincere thanks to all for their kind understanding of the temporary inconvenience for last few days during the installation process of the new PABX system. The High Commission expresses its gratitude and thanks to all Bangladesh associations and media run by members of Bangladesh community in Australia for their valuable support in disseminating information from time to time.
Notice No. 02
According to a recent decision of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, a fee of A$55.00 will be charged by Bangladesh High Commission, Canberra, from 11 June 2008 for transferring ‘No Visa Required …’ stamp from old / expired Australian / New Zealand Passports to new ones. The same fee (A$55.00) will be charged for issuing ‘No Visa Required …’ stamp to Australian / New Zealand Passports for the first time. This will be applicable for all applications received at the High Commission on or after 11 June 2008 for transferring or issuing ‘No Visa Required …’ stamp. All other requirements for ‘No Visa Required …’ stamp will remain unchanged. All are requested to kindly send money order / bank cheque of the correct amount (A$55.00) in this regard.

All are requested to kindly mention their telephone and / or mobile numbers at the bottom right corner of application forms for receiving any type of consular service from the High Commission. This would enable the High Commission to contact the person concerned, if required. Your kind cooperation in this regard will be highly appreciated.
