Protest demonstration against communal attack & arson in Longudu

Friends,

A protest demonstration against communal attacks and arsons on Jumma Indigenous villages in Longudu, CHT, Bangladesh will be held in front of Australian Parliament House, Canberra organised by CHTIJAA in association with Australian Jumma community. Following a memorandum to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh will be handed to the High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Canberra.

On 02 June 2017, more than 250 jumma indigenous houses and shops burned to ashes in 3/4 villages in Longudu by the settlers with the support from local administration, police and security forces. Some 1500 people had to flee to the nearby forest for shelter while their houses were looted and burnt by the settlers. At least one 70 year old woman was burnt alive in the attack while many are still unaccounted for. These people are now living under the naked sky in the forest and often without food, scared to come back to their own homesteads(?whatever remained).

Friends please come along to strengthening our voices to stop these kind of atrocities on jumma indigenous people in CHT, Bangladesh.

Yes We also want to. We want to tell the whole world, but the news channels of Bangladesh make the truth false. After the liberation of Bangladeshi innocent Bangladeshi people in 1971, just after the independence of Bangladesh more than 3 times, the settlers and the army are torturing the police on our indigenous people. If we want to rush against the Setalas, the army police came to BGB and chase. In front of the shoot, shoots empty guns.
