দক্ষিণ অষ্ট্রেলিয়াতে বাসা’র বিজয় দিবস উদযাপন
প্রতিবারের মতন ৩৪ বছরের পুরাতন অষ্ট্রেলিয়ার প্রথম প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশী সোসাইটি: বাংলাদেশ-অষ্ট্রেলিয়া সোসাইটি অব সাউথ অষ্ট্রেলিয়া (বাসা) অনাড়ম্বর অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে বিজয় দিবস উদযাপন করে। জাতীয় সঙ্গীতসহ আলোচনা, নাচ, গান, নাটক, কবিতা, রচনা, অঙ্কন ও নানান ধরনের প্রতিযোগিতামূলক খেলাধুলার আয়োজন করা হয়। বাংলাদেশী অষ্ট্রেলিয়ানদের এক মিলন মেলার সৃষ্টি হয়। সভাপতি ড. আনোয়ারা ইসলাম, সহ-সভাপতি ও এ্যাডিলেইড বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ফেলো ড: মো: ইউনুস, সমাজকর্মী দেওয়ান জামান ও ডা: রফিকুল ইসলাম বিজয় দিবসের পটভূমি ও গুরুত্ব এবং জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধুর অবদান শীর্ষক বিষয়ে দীর্ঘ আলোচনামূলক বক্তব্য উপস্থাপন করেন। অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন দ: অষ্ট্রেলিয়ার লেজিসলেটি কাউন্সিলের সভাপতি জনাব রাসেল ওটলি, টরেন্সের এমপি ডানা ও মরিয়াল্টার এমপি জন গার্ডনারসহ বহু গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তি।
বাসা’র ক্ষুদে শিল্পীদের নানান ধরনের কর্মকান্ডে ও রকমারি বাংলাদেশী বিরিয়ানী ও মিষ্টির প্রদর্শনী ও বিক্রয়ের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানটি সার্থক অনুষ্ঠানে পরিণত হয়।
The Bangladesh Australia Society of South Australia (BASSA,http://www.bassa.net.au/ec-members/), first Bangladeshi Society in Australia established in 1984, celebrated Bangladesh Victory Day, 2017 in Beefacres Community Hall with great enthusiasm. Almost all of Bangladeshi who live in South Australia gathered in this event. The participated guests were Mr Russell Wortley, President, Legislative Council, South Australia and local MPs: Dana Wortley and John Gardner. There were numerical events: discussions on the importance and history of Bangladesh Victory Day, Dance, Poems, short film on victory day, drama, fun events, essay competition, sports, art competition etc followed by decorated dresses’ stalls and varieties of Bangladeshi food: sweets and Biriayain, chotpoti etc. The guests delivered their speeches. The Society’s President Dr Anoara Islam, Vice President and Adelaide University Fellows Dr Md Younus and Dr Rafiqul Islam, Dr Shahid Ullah and Dewan Zaman took part discussion on the importance and history of Bangladesh Victory Day. Dr Younus discussed our father of Nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and his historical role in establishing a nation and country. Dr Younus also acknowledged Major Zia’s war declaration in 1971.
