Invitation to IGPA Public Lecture by Profession Mizanur Rahman, VC Jagannath University, Dhaka

You are warmly invited to attend an Institute for Governance and Policy Analysis Public Lecture, Financial management and governance of the University of Dhaka. The presentation will be made by special guest Professor Mijanur Rahman who is the Vice Chancellor of Jagannath University in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The lecture will be on Monday, 16th June from 10.00am – 11.00am in Building 24, Seminar Room 1, University of Canberra.

Attendance is free and no RSVP is required.

Biography of Professor Rahman:

Professor Mijanur Rahman is the Vice-Chancellor of Jagannath University – a public University located in the capital city of Bangladesh. Prior to joining as the Vice Chancellor of the Jagannath University, he was a Professor of Marketing Management at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. While working as a Professor of Marketing Management in this University, he was seconded to be the Treasurer of the University Dhaka and played crucial roles in the financial governance of the University involving billons of Taka (Bangladeshi currency). Professor Rahman was a Member of the Finance Committee of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission and was a Member of the Pabna Science & Technology University’s governance council. Professor Rahman is also involved with numerous for-profit and not for profit organisations in the capacity as board member. Professor Rahman participated in many national and international professional and academic research seminars. Professor Rahman did his PhD degree in Business Administration from Alighar Muslim University of India.
