This week’s programme presented a very informative discussion on political and economic future of Bangladesh, which is challenged by a combination of factors including the country’s political violence, weak governance, poverty, corruption and Islamist militancy. It interviewed Advocate Tarana Halim, Member of Bangladesh Parliament, who is currently in Canberra on a personal visit, about her government’s policy to overcome these obstacles and maintain country’s economic growth and political stability. The beautiful Nazrul song ‘khelichho e bishwa loye’ played in the program was sung by popular Indian singer Anup Jalota. This week’s program was produced and presented by Ajoy Kar.
