This week’s program presented heart-warming stories behind the creation of some super-hit Bengali songs during the 1960s and 1970s as told by Pulak Bandopadhay – the lyricist, songwriter and music composer from West Bengal, India. Pulak Bandopadhay (1931?-1999) recollected the stories in his book – ‘Kothae Kothae Raat Hoey Jae’ – about these songs sung by equally popular Indian Bengali singers Hemanta Mukhopadhay and Manna Dey. The narrators in the program were Tushar Roy and Shampa Barua, while the technical production was by Dominic Robin Guda. The background music used in the program was played by V. Balsara. This week’s program was produced and presented by Shampa Barua.
