Screening of Tanvir Mokammel's movie Rabeya in Sydney

Beedesh Bangla TV is a not-for-profit organisation, producing news, documentary, songs and upholding the cultural identity of Bangladesh for broadcasting in community channel TVS for the Bangladeshi’s residing in Sydney.
Beedesh Bangla invites you to attend the screening of the parallel cinema Director Tanvir Mokammel movie “Rabeya” (Sister) based on the courage shown by a girl for his dead brother during the independence war.
Tanvir to his credit has directed “Lal Shalu”, “Quiet Flows the Chitra” “Lalon” “Nodir nam Modhumoti” . We would request you to go to the web site of Tanvir and get a brief synopsis about Rabeya a valiant girl whose death inspired the poor peasants to rise against the Pak army during the liberation war.
Following is the schedule:
Date: 11 July 2010 (Sunday)
Venue: Civic Theatre (adjacent to Marana Auditorium), McMohan Street, Hurstville (3 minutes walk from Hurstville Station)
Time: 4.00pm.
Invitation Card: $5.00/person (to cover the cost hall and equipment hire)
There will be a question and answer session after the show.
As this an an unquie opportunity to see a decent film with your family and reminisence about the liberation war and talk to our future generation about the war which we fought and have made supreme sacrifice to have a national identity and our own country, our beloved “Bangladesh”.
