Dr Saniyat Islam is a very promising young researcher in the School of Fashion and Textiles at RMIT University, Melbourne. Dr Islam completed his PhD from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. His areas of expertise are in automotive and medical textiles utilising bio-based materials and nanotechnology.
A recent PhD graduate at RMIT University has found a polymer derived from seafood teams effectively with wool to create a new kind of highly-absorbent wound dressing – which may outperform dressings currently on the market (http://www.rmit.edu.au/browse;ID=vrftfu1279ba1).
