Information Stand at Casuarina Shopping Centre
Muslim awareness week stand. Provide material to the general public about Islam and handing out Programs for Islamic Awareness Week.
Saturday: 28th June, 5.00pm to 9.00pm
Open Day at Darwin Islamic Centre, 53 Vanderlin Drive Wanguri.
Display of Islamic Arts, posters explaining Islamic views on topics such as suicide bombing, Jihad, Women in Islam and other issues of interest.
Sr. Hanan Dover address at 5.30pm on “Women in Islam-Gender Equity or Equality” followed by Dr. Muhammad Abdalla address at 7.00pm on “Truth about Islam”. Open question and answer session. This event is open to the public. Dinner will be provided by ISNT.
Sunday: 29th June, 10.00am to 2.00pm
Youth Symposium held at Charles Darwin University, Mal Nairn Auditorium Building 7 Red.
10.30am Lecture by Sr. Hanan Dover on “Muslim youth in Australia-Current Struggle and Strengths”, followed by a lecture from Dr. Muhammad Abdalla on “ Youth Advice”. Open question and answer session This event is open to the public. Lunch will be provided at 1:30pm.

Women’s Forum at Darwin Islamic Centre, 53 Vanderlin Drive Wanguri.
There are many misconceptions about Muslim women in today’s society.
530pm lecture by Sr. Hanan Dover on “Are Women oppressed under Islam?
Myths and Realty” followed by a lecture from Dr Muhammad Abdalla on “Are Women’s rights equal to Men’s in Islam?” Open question and answer session. This event is open to the public. Dinner will be provided by ISNT.
Monday: 30th June 5.30pm to 9.00pm
Symposium at Darwin Islamic Centre, 53 Vanderlin Drive Wanguri.
General discussion on harmonious living, a way out to eliminate misconceptions and opening bridges towards understanding with all faiths. Speakers are Sr. Hanan Dover and Dr. Muhammad Abdalla.
This event is open to the public. Dinner will be provided at 8.30pm.
