Eassy or Poem Competition
TOPIC: In up to 600 words for the essay or in 6 to 8 free or rhyming verses (maximum 32 lines) for the poem describe/express. ‘What positive role can Muslims contribute to Canberra’s social harmony?’

DEADLINE: Close of business Wednesday 22 August 2012 Submissions to be emailed to amvradio@gmail.com

PRIZES: 18 years age above category: $500 cash prize
15 to 17 years age category: $500 cash prize
14 years age under category: $250 cash prize

Winners will be announced at the Canberra Eid al-Fitr Festival on Sunday 26 August 2012 under the Kuringai and Kosciuszko Pavilions Flemington Road, off Northbourne Avenue, Mitchell at Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC). Winners must be present at the Festival to receive their prize.

Entry is open to ACT and surrounding region residents only. An acceptance of the conditions of entry forms part of the entry. Competition winner essays will be uploaded onto AMV’s website www.amv.org.au

Terms and conditions of the competition: Only one entry per person is accepted. This competition is not a game of chance. The winning entry will be chosen by an independent panel not connected to AMV. The winning entry will be chosen by answering the question with the best explanation as stipulated in the guidelines. The judge’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
