Bangladesh Environment Network seminar on 12 July in Canberra

Dear All,

Bangladesh Environment Network (BEN), a global network of Non Resident Bangladeshis (NRB) has been working in the field of environment in Bangladesh for the last 10 years. Recently some of us, the BEN members living in Australia met in Sydney Baisakhi Mela/or and discussed about celebrating BEN’s 10 years anniversary in Canberra. Primarily we thought to celebrate the day on 12 July 2008.

The program may be a seminar followed by cultural function. The topic of the seminar could be ‘Bangladesh Environment- and the role of Bangladeshis living in Australia”’.

The program is expected to be attended by people from Media, leading environmentalist as well as by the BEN members and well- wishers living in Canberra,Melbourne, Sydney,Brisbane and other cities,.

The Venue could be the Community Hall, Bangladesh High Commission, Canberra.

A tentative program:
Time 11.00 am to 5.00 pm.

11.00: Opening
Session one: presentation of paper and discussion.
1.30 pm Lunch break
2.30- Working session
3.30- Evening tea
3.40- cultural program
5.00- End.

If you have any suggestion and inclusion & your participation please let us know by firday 5 June 2008. As soon as we have feed back we are going to Invite some special guest to attend the program.Pleasd respond promptly.
