The Dhaka University Alumni Association Australia (DUAAA) founded

An association of the Dhaka University Alumni residing in Australia has been established in Sydney recently. The newly founded association aims at:

 promoting friendship and interaction between the former students, teachers and employees of the Dhaka University residing in Australia,
 fostering friendly relationship with Bangladeshi community and other Australian communities to promote Bangladeshi culture and custom,
 providing voluntary services to promote welfare to the Dhaka University Alumni and other communities in Australia,
 participating in activities contributing to improvement of infrastructure and academic activities of the university,
 instituting prizes and scholarships to students – for merit and financial aid to the poor and deserving students of the Dhaka University,
 promoting activities to create awareness for the development of Bangladesh, and
 communicating the activities of the university and alumni.

At present the association consists of the following 15 executive committee members:

 Secretary General: Anis Majumder
 Treasurer: Kamrul Islam
