Gungahlin Mosque membership, deadline 30 June 2014
Assalamu Alaikum
I hope we all know that in Gungahlin we are trying to build a mosque. We should have good intention in building it and do it for the sake of Allah. A mosque should be open for all Muslims and it is the place where we all should feel at peace.
As in the Qur’an Kareem, in Surat at-Tawba (verse 107), Allah (swt) said:
وَالَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مَسْجِدًا ضِرَارًا وَكُفْرًا وَتَفْرِيقًا بَيْنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِرْصَادًا لِّمَنْ حَارَبَ اللَّـهَ وَرَسُولَهُ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ وَلَيَحْلِفُنَّ إِنْ أَرَدْنَا إِلَّا الْحُسْنَىٰ ۖ وَاللَّـهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ ﴿١٠٧﴾
And [there are] those [hypocrites] who took for themselves a mosque for causing harm and disbelief and division among the believers and as a station for whoever had warred against Allah and His Messenger before. And they will surely swear, “We intended only the best.” And Allah testifies that indeed they are liars. (107) (translation: Saheeh International)
In order to ensure that the mosque is built in good intention, for all the Muslims and NOT to be inhibited by only a certain sect; we all need to be involved in it. To have our say, it requires us to be the member of CMC and the deadline is 30 June 2014 for next year’s election.
We must become members before this date, and this is very important, because as a Muslim, the responsibility befalls on our shoulders. My sincere request is that you become a member along with your family and friends to serve the community before 30 June. The membership cost is only $10 each and we may consider that a donation towards the Mosque.
Attached is the CMC membership form in order to be a member for the organisation running the Gungahlin Mosque. You can fill the form and along with the fee give it to the treasurer/committee of CMC (can find info in their website), or email a copy of the form to their EC (exe@cmc-au.org) along with the payment details.
