Message of High Commissioner on the Occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr
Eid-ul-Ftir is an occasion to mark the completion of month long devotion of the holy month of Ramadan and to celebrate a joyous time with families and friends. On this blessed occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, my wife and I extend our heartiest greetings to all our nationals living in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Ramadan has been a time for families and communities to share the happiness of coming together in intense fasting, prayer, devotion and charitable giving. Eid-ul-Fitr, therefore, is a very important day of celebration to all Muslims around the world which showers Almighty Allah’s conferment of blessing and brings joy and happiness to all Muslims. Also Eid-ul-Ftir is an occasion to reach out to the less fortunate people and share their happiness and grief and this produces socially positive impact on the well-being of society.
On this holy occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, it gives me great pleasure to convey to all Muslims my warmest congratulations for their happiness, peaceful life and prosperity and my earnest request to all members of Bangladesh community living in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji to attend to the underprivileged and take care of the disadvantaged and share happiness and joy with the destitute sections of society. May Allah bless us all as we celebrate the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr and may the lessons we have learnt in the month of Ramadan permeate our hearts and spread to the wider community of the world.
I wish you all “Eid Mubarak.”
