Australia Day Parade – 2014 in Adelaide
Dear BASSA Members –
We are very happy to inform you all that Australia Day Parade will be held on Sunday, 26 January 2014. Like we have done in the past, BASSA will be participating this year’s parade and would like to invite all BASSA members to attend. The parade will start at 5.00 pm from the corner of Franklin Street & Victoria Square in the Adelaide city. Our group will march behind Marshall – 5. So please arrive by 4.30 pm on the western side of Flinders street. The parade organisers will supply water for participants at the start and end of the parade. Once the parade finishes at the Elder Park near Torrens River, there will be a free concert by famous artists followed by fireworks.
All BASSA Members are requested to celebrate this National event. Please try to wear colourful Bangladeshi National dresses (for boys Panjabi or fotwa & girls sharee or salwar kamiz) to represent the rich culture and heritage that we offer to this great multicultural nation. Prizes will be presented for best costumes. For parade, there is no age limitation, so members can bring their kids too. We will highly appreciate if you can bring your kids along with you wearing traditional Bangladeshi dresses.
Thank you so much to all, looking forward to seeing you all at the Australian Day parade 2014.
Thanks & regards –
Arshad Bhuiyan
General Secretary BASSA
