Latest update
Elections will be held across Bangladesh on 30 December 2018. Politically motivated violence has occurred in the lead-up to the elections. Avoid demonstrations, political gatherings and processions in the period surrounding the election as they may turn violent (see Safety and security). We haven’t changed our level of advice – ‘Reconsider your need to travel’ to Bangladesh.
