PEULICH MEDIA STATMENT – EID WISHES
I would like to take this opportunity to extend my warmest Eid greetings to all Muslims and fellow Victorians.
Eid-ul-Fitr or the “Feast of Breaking the Fast” is a festival that marks the end of the Holy Month of Ramadhan and is a time of joy to be shared with family and friends.
I congratulate all those who have successfully completed the Ramadan fast. By fasting, and through acts of charity, Ramadan encourages Muslims to remember those less fortunate.
Victoria has long been an exemplar of how people of different faiths and cultures can live harmoniously together and find unity in diversity.
As Shadow Minister for Multicultural Affairs, and on behalf of the Liberal National Coalition, I am delighted to be part of Eid celebrations and wish all Muslims Eid Mubarak!
