Welcome back Dr Moyazur Rahman
Dr Moyazur Rahman alias Maroof, a Bangladeshi born Australian recently returned from Canada and joined the Canberra Hospital as Consultant Interventional Cardiologist. He is the first doctor of Bangladeshi origin to be employed as a Specialist at the Canberra Hospital. He is trained in Bangladesh, Australia, Canada and USA. Dr M Rahman graduated from the Dhaka Medical College. He previously worked and trained at The Canberra Hospital, Geelong Hospital, Princes Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. Last year he did further advanced coronary angioplasty/stenting training at the Ottawa Heart Institute, Canada and CT coronary angiography training from USA. He was a long term resident of Canberra and very happy to be back to serve the broader community. He is married to Mrs Rokeya Rahman, Shaon- daughter of Bhasha Sainik Mr Raquib-Ud Dowla (previous Canberra resident) and blessed with two children. He plans to be involved in future work and training in Bangladesh. We are proud of him as our valuable community member.
