Bangladesh origin schoolboy battles evil supernaturals in his first novel – aged just 12

A PUPIL has unveiled a book about supernatural beings – his first novel aged just 12.

Ilford County High School student, Meer Rasheeq Ahnaf, launched ’Mystery of the Supernaturals’ at Forest Academy, in Harbourer Road, Hainault, last week.

The year 8 pupil wrote the book when he was sitting his 11 plus exam.

Paula Saffer, learning resource centre manager, said: “The book is full of escapism and imagination and takes the reader to almost every corner of the planet.

“We are delighted with Rasheeq’s success and we hope that he will inspire his friends to have a go at story writing.

“This is a fantastic achievement and we wish him every future success. We await his second novel with interest.”

The youngster was inspired to write the novel, which has been published by Olympia, after attending English lessons at Forest Academy while he was at primary school.

The storyline follows evil supernaturals who rule the Earth and Meer who attempts to save the planet.

The book is available on Amazon, eBay and in the school’s learning resource centre.
