Furniture major HATIL Complex Ltd. has launched its first ever showroom in Australia. The single-brand HATIL showroom was inaugurated in Sydney, the capital of New South Wales last month.
The store is located at one of the busiest and densely populated area called Kogarah in Sydney. The 1100 sqm store area will be used as both the display centre and warehouse of HATIL furniture.
Selim H Rahman, chairman and managing director of HATIL said, “our relentless effort to optimise quality and design has enabled us to make furniture that are best-in-class. This is just a beginning and the furniture industry as a whole is preparing to capitalize on the huge export market of Bangladeshi furniture abroad”.
The franchised HATIL showroom in Australia is showcasing the existing product lines of the company.
Moshiur Rahman, director, marketing, mentioned ‘‘the customer feedback is highly positive and HATIL is planning to open new showroom in Canada within 2013. HATIL is processing similar initiatives in France and United Kingdom’’.
The price of wooden furniture is very high in Australia and wooden furniture from Bangladesh are poised to have a bright prospect because of attractive price performance ratio, said Sahenul Islam, Managing Director of HATIL Pty Ltd., Australia.
Seeing this clear gap in Australian furniture industry, three Bangladeshi origin Australian entrepreneurs ventured into furniture retailing. Shahenul Islam, a business graduate initiated the business after straight seven years of market research. He is accompanied by Md. Al Amin, director HATIL Australia, graduate in Accounting and Money Haque, director HATIL Australia, an expert in information technology. They have plans to open stores in other cosmopolitan cities of Australia very soon.
