Iftar Dinner program organized by Bangladesh Australia Association Canberra on September 7
August 31, 2008
Dear members/friends Assalamu Alaikum;
It is our great pleasure to invite all of you to join the ‘Iftar & Dinner “program organized by Bangladesh Australia Association Canberra to be held on September 07 2008(Sunday). BAAC organizes this event once a year to strengthen the bond of Muslim brotherhood/ sisterhood and to signify the importance of Ramadan to the younger generation of Bangladeshi Australian living in Canberra. We will follow the same theme this year as well.
Expression of interest: To make this program a success we are requesting all parents to encourage their children to participate in “Surah” recitation. This is not a competition. Therefore children of all ages (3 to 15 years) can come and recite any surah he/ she knows well. BAAC will present all participants with a token gift. We are requesting the parents to contact any EC member by phone or in person by 04/09/08 (Thursday) to confirm the participation of their children in the event. This will help us estimate the total number of participant and to buy appropriate gift for the children’s.
Please note: Iftar & dinner is sponsored by BAAC, EC members and the community members. However, if you wish, you may bring a plate of fresh fruit/ date etc. or dried sweets to share with the members and friends.
