BEN seminar 2 August in Canberra
To discuss the observance of 10 anniversary of BEN in Canberra a meeting was held among the BEN members living in Canberra on 11 June 2008. The meeting found that the program draws huge interest in the community. Many dignitaries such as from Canberra, Sydney and New Castle show their interest to participate in the program. Interest has also been shown to present paper on issues related to environment.
Further, the program is also expected to have few Australian leaders in the inauguration session. Considering all these interest the meeting decided that instead of 12 July 2008, the anniversary will now be celebrated on 2 August 2008, Saturday. Detail program will be announced shortly in local web site, email & Bangla newspaper. However the program as expected would be a symposium and a whole day program that includes:
· Inaugural session
· Paper presentation and discussion, and
· Cultural show, projection of film.
Academic, environmental activist and community leaders who have already shown interest are requested to submit the abstract of their paper by 30 June to:

Participants who want to join the program are also requested to contact organizers as soon as possible to help the organizers in preparing all logistic activities, such as lunch, tea & other technical related matters, including (if needed) accommodate
