Bangladesh cricket team visited local Palmerston High School in Darwin, Chowdhury Sadaruddin reporting
This morning the captain along with five other non-cricketer members of the Bangladesh cricket team visited local Palmerston High School. The manager of the Mr. Sofiqul Huq Hira was also present during the visit. The team was welcomed by Mrs. Jenny Nash, Principal of Palmerston High. After a short introduction by local Bangladeshi and IT teacher of the school Mr. Iqbal Shamim Faruque the manager of the team Mr. Sofiqul Huq Hira introduced the members with the students. He also presented the school with a Bangladeshi Team Jersey autographed by the team members. After a short speech by the principal Asraful took the stand and answered many questions from the students of the school. At the end the students of the school performed music for the guest. Students were very happy to get Asraful among them and lined up to take autographs and photographs with him. Asraful was presented with a school uniform and he happily changed into that during rest of his stay. Local media NT News and Palmerston Sun was also present during the visit. At the end of the visit the team was treated with beautiful lunch prepared by the catering diploma students of the school. The principal of the school also informed that 100 students of the school will be supporting Bangladesh team on their second ODI with Australia. Few photos of the event.
