"I am delighted to know that the Ouderland Memorial Committee has organised a month long film festival in honour of the gallant freedom fighters of Bangladesh liberation war including my husband Mr. W A S Ouderland Birpratik, those who paid the maximum sacrifice for the future of a brave nation. I express my respect to the freedom fighters, all who died as well as who are alive and my gratitude to the Bangladeshi nation for the honour they are continuously paying to their proud children.
I take this opportunity to wish the fulfilment of the aspiration of Bangladesh and every success of the events in Canberra, Perth and other cities of Australia."
