Behind your fears

I am your comfort.

Behind your sorrows

I am your happiness.

When it rains

I am your sun.

For all your failures in life

I was there to guide you to success

Now that we have parted

I want you to remember

When your hands shook with fear

I was there to hold it still

When your heart filled with sorrow,

Mine was the lap you lay upon

To cry away your pain.

So, my love

Go out into the world

And soak in your success

Bask in your glory

Let the world know it was your

hard work only

That made you the man you are today.

But let it be known to you –

I was the shadow to your success

Though I am now just a ghost.
