This is to inform that the Consular Camp in Sydney (5/9 Rochester Street, Homebush, NSW 2140) for the period of March – June 2009 will be held according to the following revised schedule:

Consular services will be provided from 0900 hrs. to 1200 hrs. and 1430 hrs. to 1700 hrs. on Fridays; from 0900 hrs. to 1330 hrs. and 1400 hrs. to 1700 hrs. on Saturdays; and from 0900 hrs. to 1300 hrs. on Sundays. The High Commission may amend the schedule, if necessary. Urgent fee, as mentioned in the following table, is charged for rendering different types of consular services at the consular camp as these are rendered the same day.

Following services are NOT available from the consular camp:
(a) Issuance of new passport in place of 10 or more years old passport (b) Issuance of new passport in place of lost passport. Such cases must be posted to the High Commission in Canberra fulfilling all the requirements and enclosing a self-addressed registered envelope.
All payments must be paid in the mode of Postal Money Order or Bank Cheque as we DO NOT accept cash, credit card, eftpos or personal cheque. Applicants are highly advised to have their money order or bank cheque prepared during week days as most post offices and banks are closed on weekends. However, Homebush Post Office which is situated near the camp office remains open till 1200 hrs on Saturday but is not open on Sundays. Fee for consular services of multiple applicants (for e.g. members of a family) of different natures (for e.g. application of ‘No visa required…’ seal and visa by separate applicants) must be paid in different cheques/money orders but of similar natures may be combined in one cheque /money order. This Mission would repeat the advice that cash will NOT be accepted under any circumstances.
This Mission would like to request all concerned, who intend to get their consular works done at the consular camp, to have all their queries cleared by visiting the website of the High Commission http://www.bangladoot-canberra.org/[1] (particularly the ‘Passport / Visa / Consular Matters’ Section) or calling the High Commission at Canberra (02-62900511, 62900522, 62900533) on week days.
