Outstanding Contribution Award 2012 – Support Person: Shamsuddin Shafi

Shafi has a warm welcome and genuine, upbeat personality that adds to the character of Dimension Data Australia. Shafi joined Dimension Data as Support team member in April 2007 and quickly moved to take over as the Support lead of ACT. Now he has widened his horizon, looking after the Northern Region – ACT, NSW and VIC and managing 24 support team members.

During this time, Shafi, through his commitment, leadership and proactive approach, has provided a high level of service to not only the sales team but also to our customers. Shafi takes ownership of the situation often going above the call to resolve issues and ensuring that our customers receive an extremely high level of service.

Shafi displays brilliant client relationship and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent team leadership and mentoring skills. He is continually driving his own development, as well as providing leadership for the consultants and engineers in the practice. He is a true asset to the practice, branch and company, and exhibits Dimension Data’s values on a daily basis.

We have a few Bangladeshis working for Dimension Data in the Asia Pacific Region and I’m pretty sure he has made his country and people proud.
