We are welcoming all of you to attend a Massive Festival of the Year the Pitha Mela, 2014. The event will be comprised of various stalls signifying various Pithas, Yummy foods, Luxurious Clothing and Jewelleries.

Cultural performances include Games & Face Painting of children and Magazine Shows, dances & songs by renowned Artists. Prizes will be offered to winners competing songs with Karaoke, dresses as you like, dances of Couples and Raffle draw.

Few words from the President

Ladies and Gentleman I do welcome you all to this great occasion of Pitha Mela, I deem it unique privilege and it is my pleasure to write few words in the eve of Great Event.

Bangladesh Cultural Group Inc, a non profit registered organization magnificently functioning from 2003 with a motto to mix up migrants under the same umbrella along with main stream Australian to have the opportunity to flourish and to preserve their own cultural inheritance. Its aim is to focus for newly arrived migrants to create the opportunity to participate in different cultural programs in a meaning full ways to ensure that a diverse cross section of the communities, including established and new emerging communities are involved and consulted in the process, ensuring that migrants are valued and included in the wider communities. So the goal of the organization is to focus on CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Background) young and adult to connect them in the broader communities and to influence new generations to their traditional music and culture.

Bangladesh Cultural Group successfully organizing “Youth Cultural Mix” every year attending functions in different City Councils with a view to encourage youth volunteering and participations in the traditional functions, it also observing significant Bangladesh National days, organizing musical shows and Drama for instance; successful drama “The Conflict” was staged in Drum Theatre, Dandenong (written and directed by me), with an inspiration of positive cross cultural assimilation and integration that comprised of several ethnic groups such as Bangladeshi, Indian, Fijian, Srilankan and main stream Australian.

I must acknowledge the support and co-operation of Bangladesh Association including participants from different ethnic groups and main stream Aussie to make this program a successful one.
